Who We Are
Iron Hand Association is a non-profit international medical society made up of surgeons specialized in reconstructive and prosthetic surgery of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow.
It all began in the operating room, when some of us realized that reconstructive surgeries based on resection arthroplasty did not always deliver the results we expected for our patients.
The search for more reliable solutions led us to explore replacement arthroplasty in greater depth an alternative that, over time, proved to provide more consistent and predictable outcomes.

To promote education and the rigorous practice of prosthetic techniques in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery, encouraging the exchange of knowledge among specialists from different countries and providing scientific support for procedures that offer more reliable results for patients.

To become a leading international scientific society, bringing together surgeons from around the world to advance the development, recognition, and excellence of prosthetic techniques in the upper extremity.
The Origins of Iron Hand Association…
From honest conversations, courses, continuous dialogue, and years of work emerged the idea of bringing our professional paths together into a scientific society that would defend the prosthetic concept, promote solid training, and scientifically support techniques that, based on our experience, deserve greater recognition and backing.
